Franchise India is organising its mega annual franchise event on 2nd and 3rd December 2011. Franchise India promises to be the largest franchise exhibition in Asia. Having visited the previous exhibition in New Delhi, I do agree to it. Franchise India has more than 300 exhibitors and many visitors. There are several franchise exhibition organisers in India, that include Times Franchise Expo, that organises multi city franchise show across India, apart from Franchise Plus, Franchising Association of India, Images Franchising and so on.
It has two entry points and people queue up to visit the exhibition. Along
Entry
The entry is free for people that pre-register or have a coupon, that gives them free access to the exhibition. Else, one needs to register by paying a fee of Rs. 300, they would get complementary magazines as well as subscription for six months.
Making the most of the exhibition as a visitor
Due to the sheer size of the exhibition as well as the number of visitors, it is advisable to come prepared. At what level of preparedness are you? Do you own retail space available or need to rent space at malls? Have you decided what business to start or are you just exploring ideas and options. The best way is to research online about franchising and identify your interests. Your interests could be varied and you could set priorities, depending on the sector. You could also research on the day-to-day business responsibilities.
Making the most of the exhibition as an exhibitor
Plan your trip for an additional two to three days beyond the exhibition, especially if your corporate office is not in Delhi or National Capital Region. During this time you can meet up with some of the prospects that would are seriously considering your franchise business.
Carry an adequate number of brochures, flyers, leaflets and business cards. Have an action point before you part with any information. It could be enrolling for a lucky draw or merely sharing their contact information. If possible give them the information in a file or a folder, rather than a bag, so that they have all the papers in order.
Most visitors at large exhibitions like these are overwhelmed with the sheer number of opportunities, they may not be able to talk as much in length as they would like. If a particular prospect shows interest, be calm and patient and meet up with in person, to share additional details. Do not be a pushy franchise sales person as in most cases, people might suspect a hidden agenda.
Special Exhibition Sign Up Offers Dont Work
Many franchisors promote special franchise offers, as in only at this exhibition, there shall be no franchise fees, reduced royalties and so on. A true franchise opportunity shall never discount, its business or brand. Also, no person shall be comfortable signing up for a business within just a meeting.
